La Viña Winery
Yesterday, I took a “lazy Sunday afternoon drive,” and ended up at the La Viña Winery. Â
I took the back road along NM 28, where there were lots of motorcycle riders. I passed by many fields of cotton, as well as the infamous “Chopes Bar & Cafe” in La Mesa.
There was a trio playing at the winery called “Live by Request.” It was nice sitting out on the patio drinking a glass of Rojo Loco and listening to the music. The group played a lot of Bob Dylan and John Prine. Lots of folks brought a picnic lunch and then purchased wine to go with their meal.Â
I took another route back home and dinner was a veggieburger and a Deschutes Brewery Mirror Pond Pale Ale. I then watched the last of the three movies that I had rented.  (Beauty Shop, Closer, and The Upside of Anger) I didn’t like any of them – maybe I’m just not a movie person. Now, it’s another week of work wishing I were “on the road.”
