Carson City, Nevada

Park Place in the Late Afternoon - Arches National Park

Ah, the joys of travel. There are new experiences, sights to see, and yes – upkeep chores. I’m going to stay here through the weekend. The temperature is cool, there are Internet cafes, and a Trader Joe’s. I plan to stay a couple of days and do my laundry, wash the dust off the RV, and get caught up on my photos. I’ll use this area as a base and see Lake Tahoe and Reno.

There’s a casino here called the Carson Nugget that looks like a throwback from the 1950′s. I can’t take photos inside the casino, but I want to take some night shots of the neon signs outside. I had the “Awful (big), Awful, (good) Burger today for my burger fix since some ladies told me about it. It was OK, but I think I would have enjoyed In-and-Out Burger (they have one here) more.

I’m spent the afternoon on my computer here in this coffeehouse listening to everything from The Doors to Fleetwood Mac.  I could get used to this…

Spread the Love!

We spent a day in Carson City last summer during a week trip to Tahoe. It’s such an interesting place and a good home base for a few days. Enjoy!
