Saturday Scavenger Photo Hunt – “Happy”

Theme: Happy View Blogroll | Next Week: Dirty

Field of Joy

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It’s what sunflowers do.                                                                                                      ~ Helen Keller

Sunflowers make me happy, and they’re my favorite flowers. It’s odd, because yellow and orange aren’t my favorite colors. Something in sunflowers bring out the “happy” in me.

This photo was taken south of Durango, Colorado – a few miles north of the the New Mexico border. The day was cloudy and there was a light rain. I actually turned my RV around so I could spend some time photographing the field. I spent quite a while just standing in the field and photographing the sunflowers – feeling the gentle rain and soaking up the “happy” of the sunflowers. Grace filled moments are a natural part of life – we only have to be open to the experience…

Spread the Love!

I love sunflowers. They are a sight for sore eyes, so to speak. Our dining table has things with sunflowers: table mats, small bucket with sunflowers where we put candles and hand towels.

Thanks for sharing your sunflower photo, it definitely maid me smile. :)

    Have a great weekend!

I’m so tired been up since 6am, had students, went to a children’s party and went the nearby mall to shop for beach shoes. I’m still up uploading photos. :)
