Bah Humbug (Those Holiday Shoppers)!
There’s an old saying that we use in my family, “Running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off.” That phrase fit perfectly today.
I needed to drop off some dry cleaning for my cruse, but the last drop off at my regular dry cleaners was 9:00 a.m. (I tried at 9:30 a.m. – you snooze you lose!) I finally took my formal wear to a one hour (rip off) cleaners. I stopped off at the grocery since I was having a guest for dinner. However, a had to go back to the grocery later when I discovered I needed brown sugar and soy sauce (the ones at home were too old).
At one of the stores, there was a speed bump that someone had slowed down for. I started to turn out (in the parking lot) and was promptly given the finger. Gee, Happy Holidays to you too!
Ah, yes, the season of love and peace brings out the worst in people at times! Hope your Christmas is merry!
For the most part, the people I’m coming across are so grouchy. I just don’t understand it.
