Manic Monday
Manic Monday is hosted by Fleur-de-Lisa
Which sex do you think has it easier in our culture? Have you ever wished you were the opposite sex?
- Men – without a doubt. Society appears to respect men more, they excel in the workplace, and are thought of as the “stronger sex.” As for being one, no thank you…
What books from your childhood would you like to share with your children?
- No children here. However, having a former career as an elementary teacher there are too many to decide upon one.
What is one talent or skill you don’t possess but always wanted?
- Playing the piano. I had to take “Elementary Piano Class Instruction” when I went to college (a long time ago) and made it through by memorizing how to play a small selection of songs. Teachers nowadays no longer need to know how to play the piano to teach – computer savvy is much preferred…

I’m with you on the piano thing. I’ve always wished I could just sit down and play – ragtime, boogie-woogie, classics – anything. And anyone who can play piano is always someone I’m a bit in awe of.
I’ve really enjoyed reading the answer to #1 especially as I’ve made the rounds today. I can see so many different perspectives.
I wish I had a musical talent too. Alas, I don’t.
Thank you for playing and I hope your week is off to a great start. I’ve been meaning to check in on you but had a crazy weekend. Hope you are getting settled back in after your trip. I still need to find time to see your Flickr pictures.
I debated on playing the piano or my choice. I do play some instruments but not the piano.
I totally agree with number 1. Men seem to always have it easier, although they may be viewed as the stronger sex I seriously would argue against that claim!
As for the piano, I learned how to play the piano as a child and now as an adult I long to own a piano. Doesn’t seem likely though, I feel your angst on that one.
