Saturday Scavenger Photo Hunt – “Self”
Theme: Self | Next Week: Bad Hair
This is probably one of my favorite “self” photos, taken my my good friends Ray and Terrie. I was visiting them two summers ago in their camphosting position in Salmonberry Park in Alsea, Oregon. Ray helped me fashion a walking stick (which I’ll probably depend on for stability this summer) and put an agate he had found by the ocean and polished at the top near the handle.
Those carefree days of summer are amongst the happiest in my life. Even though we keep in touch by e-mail, I miss Ray and Terrie everyday…

Uh, huh…I KNEW you were a diva the moment I stumbled on your blog!! woo hoo!!
Wonderful shot of you enjoying being in the great outdoors… it shows that it is one of your loves. Keep that near the top of your thoughts while you are recovering… you’ll be fine
You look wonderful, very relaxed happy and pretty.
You’ll be back ‘there’ in that peaceful place soon!
when I first opened your blog this morning, I saw you and that silver behind you….my first thought was that you had bought a Bambi….but then I recognized the shot of you in our wonderful Oregon at our campsite….that was a good summer….we will meet again…..I know you want to head toward a progressive locale with cooler weather….but if you want to come to a red state with hot, humid weather but good friends….come on down, we would love to see you…..and Cali….
Yeah a picture!
Ok, I’m sure if I looked harder I could probably find a picture of you somewhere but you’re right, that one is particularly good and full of good memories too. Oregon is such a wonderful place to visit. I’m a little sad this year though, my brother graduates and I’m not going to get to Eugene to see it since starting this new job. I have to get through the ole 30 day probation period.
What a lovely picture of you!
What a great photo! Makes me feel relaxed just looking at it!
Not really a bad hair do
