Everyone Has Their Own Battles…
I’m in Galt, California which is a few miles from Wilton where my friend Doc is staying. I received an e-mail from by brother Gary (who I probably feel the closest to even though we aren’t in day-to-day contact) that gave me warm fuzzies. Everyone struggles – it seems to be a fact of life. I’m working on my “attitude” and “perspective.”
This morning from highway 99, I saw a church billboard that said:
Be Kind – Everyone has their own battles.
It’s true, and I’m luckier than most. That doesn’t take away that I’m struggling right now with a malformed, painful wrist. However, as far as I know we only get one shot at this journey called “life.” I need to cherish and embrace the “good.” I haven’t taken any photos yet, since I’ve been on a “mission” to get to the Sacramento area. Even though she shouldn’t, Cali favors sitting on my lap while I’m driving. It’s comforting, to both of us I think.
yippee…..hurrah….you are down the road…..and we want a photo of Cali sitting on your lap while you drive…..
Yes, it’s often difficult to look past the bad stuff and be happy about what’s good in our lives. We all go through this in varying degrees. Glad you’re on the road – wherever the heck Galt CA is!!
That quote has given me an entire new perspective of how to look at people and things….I never know what they went through to get to that point in the day…Glad you are on the road.
That’s funny- it seems that I’ve just read that exact quote somewhere else very recently. It’s so very true.

I like that particular billboard saying. I can’t say that many church advertisements are necessarily appealing to a broad audience, but this one is.
And I can’t blame Cali for wanting some snuggles.
