Today, while on Flickr looking for a photo “meet-up” group in El Paso, I stumbled upon a project called Capture El Paso…

How many books have you written? If you’re a contributing or voting member of this project, you can add this book to your resumeĀ“. Sure, we may be the ones laying out, proofing, printing, and binding the book, but you’re the source of much of the content, the initial editors (by your vote), and the most valuable part of this project. When we begin production, we will take a look at all of the photos you picked and put them aside to be included in the book. Then we’ll hand all the photos over to our editors who will pick their favorites. Once it’s all said and done, the book will be a good representation of photos you like, photos our editors like, and photos that define the best of the Greater El Paso area.

The “Greater El Paso area” is defined as fifty miles from the city. I’ve only taken a few photos in El Paso proper, but lots in my little town of Las Cruces – about thirty-five miles away. There are lots of prizes to be won, but I’d be thrilled to be “published.” So, if you have some free time on your hands, please click on the screenshot to be taken to the site to “vote” on my photos. (There’s also a link in the sidebar.) Thanks! :-)
