What’s worse, physical or mental cheating? Why?

  • I think they’re equally damaging. If you have the thought (and it’s in your heart) you’ve already crossed the boundary. Even though some people scoffed at a 1976 interview that Jimmy Carter had, I think there’s a lot of truth in what he actually said…

Because I’m just human and I’m tempted and Christ set some almost impossible standards for us. The Bible says, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” Christ said, I tell you that anyone who looks on a woman with lust has in his heart already committed adultery. I’ve looked on a lot of women with lust. I’ve committed adultery in my heart many times….

Do you think men and women can be just friends? Why or why not?

  • Gee, my answer for today is “sometimes.” However, much depends on the dynamics of the relationship. If there’s any attraction involoved, it’s probably not a good idea.

How do you feel about dating co-workers?

  • When I was very young and in high school I met my ex-husband at my part-time job. However, I don’t recommend dating anyone in the workplace – it’s a “recipe for disaster.”

Cheating is cheating and I agree, it’s damaging no matter what form it takes. Heck no to dating anyone in the workplace!

I think Jimmy Carter had a valid point. But oh boy, have I ever been in trouble throughout life with that standard. ;-)

I have to agree with you on #3, I’ve seen it go bad too many times to ever go there myself.

Nice post. You pretty much summarized the risks of dating a co-worker in those two lines… ;-)

Cheating is cheating – both leave scars. And often the mental version is more lasting and more intense than the physical.

    I don’t completely agree with 3.
