Only the Good Friday…
Shelly from This Eclectic Life started a meme several months ago called “Only the Good Friday.” I’ve always wanted to “join in,” but as many of you know I haven’t been posting on a regular basis for the past few months.
I’m not too big on memes, and in the past have really only concentrated on Fleur-de-Lisa’s Manic Monday. So, because developing a new pattern or view depends (in this case optimism) upon “dedication,” I’m going to give this a whirl.
It’s ironic that Shelly’s latest post refers to traveling and the comfort of being back home. I’m just the other way. I love to travel and wherever my antiquated RV and Cali are, I’m home. I’m fortunate to work in a positon where I have a few weeks off in the summer, and use my tax refund to finance my summer sojourn. Freedom is the word that comes to mind…
Speaking of money, I had purchased a pass ($320.00) to take Bikram or “Hot” Yoga from a local studio. Unfortunately, I broke my wrist before using the pass and the studio recently went out of business. The owner wouldn’t return my calls, and I went to visit just two days before they closed. I was told I couldn’t get my money refunded because they were bankrupt and there was no money. Fortunately, I contacted my credit card company and provided them the receipt and an explanation. My money was credited (even after a year) to my account.

Congrats on getting your money back from the yoga studio, that was a definite stroke of luck! Looking forward to camping with my daughter this summer, but we’ll be tenting it. Not quite as nice as your RV!
See…you saw the good! You got your money back (and now you can spend it on travel!). I love the quote…now if I can just relax!

I’m glad you got your money back. That’s just crazy of them to think that they can keep the money.
