Balance…
Lately I’ve been trying to find “balance” in my life – not an easy task in any sense of the word. One pearl of wisdom I’ve recently come across is Deepak Chopra’s website. A little exploring later I signed up for the monthly newsletter, and took the “Lovability quiz.” Give it a whirl and let me know how you fared.
Lovability
Lovability is the ability to love and to be loved – to give and receive freely in an intimate, nourishing relationship. While our essential nature is pure love, at some point during our childhood or early adult years, many of us get the message that we don’t deserve love and happiness. Fortunately, if we are willing to undertake the process of identifying and releasing the limiting beliefs and toxic emotions we’ve been carrying, we can heal and transform our lives.
When embarking on any journey, it is important to recognize where you are now and where you want to go, so that you can map out the best route for getting there. The inventory is designed to help you assess your current state. As you engage in the work of releasing that which does not serve you and opening to that which does, your score and your sense of well-being will improve.

You may sense the possibility of feeling more alive than you do now, but may not be highly motivated to make any major changes in your life at this point. However, chances are good that as time passes, your ability and willingness to tolerate being “fine” will diminish, and the need or desire for more will emerge. If you fall into this category, I encourage you to hold an intention to make improvements that will enhance your emotional and physical well-being.

Hmm, it says I have excellent emotional balance. I’m not so great at trusting, but I’m trying!
