Bona Fide

Heceta Head LIghthouse

It seems that it’s been my experience that I question everything.  I’m not going to elaborate on the rhyme and reason, but it’s never a “bad thing” to question.  However, with that said it’s obvious that some people don’t like being “confronted” with questions.  Questions lead to discovery, and secure individuals don’t take offense at being inquired.

However, I digress…  My RV has an approximate seven gallon/fifty-five pound horizontal tank.  A certain person kept telling me that I was going to have difficulty getting my propane refilled since my tank was old and now all tanks have to be equipped with OPD (Overfill Protection Device).   However, every time I’ve taken my propane to be refilled I’ve had no problem.  Here’s why:

The 2001 edition of NFPA 58 modified requirements to exempt horizontal cylinders manufactured before October 1, 1998, from requiring OPDs. Also exempt are cylinders used for industrial trucks, industrial welding and cutting gases (these cylinders must be labeled with their use).

Just another reason not to listen to men, ignore people who are idiots, to ask questions and find out things for yourself.  ;-)   Yes, J.B. I’m talking about YOU!
