Moab
Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post. I’m sorry I haven’t posted lately, but our group is out at a group site called Gold Bar with no cell phone service. I’m in town at a coffee shop so I”ll keep this short.
Our group hiked to Delicate Arch on Monday and did an easy kayak float on the Colorado river on Wednesday. Tomorrow I’m going on another hike in Arches National Park.
It’s HOT. The area where we are camped is going to be a staging site for the new “Lone Ranger” movie with Johnny Depp. (Hubba, Hubba, Hubba!) Alas, we’ll be long gone when he arrives… 
We’ve also had a raccoon problem. In the middle of the night raccoons visited two rigs on the inside, and ran up along the roof of mine. I heard the noise and went out with a flashlight. The raccoon was hanging over the edge and just “stared me down.”
Did I mention it’s HOT? I’m having an iced coffee with coffee ice cubes – yum!
We’re off Monday to Grand Junction, Colorado and I hope cooler temps!
Just catching up here !…. You’re off and away…hip hip hooray ! most exciting….I can only imagine how much fun you are having…. Bet home seems like a distant place already…. Too bad about missing J.D.

Have fun and stay cool! It’s hot in Utah for sure! Iced coffee sounds like a great idea. Except for the raccoons, seems like you have been having a great journey!

Gorgeous photo! My daughter and her family spent a few days in the Moab area several years ago and loved it. Enjoy Grand Junction – and enjoy your summer trip!
