Eternal on the Water…
OK, to the few people who read my blog – I’m sorry for not posting. I’ve been hiking, kayaking, and drinking dollar drinks at Happy Hour at the Down Valley Restaurant. Today, I did some “housekeeping,” as our group is moving to Leadville tomorrow. (Yes, I spent an exciting Saturday night doing laundry!)
I guess I get preoccupied…
July 4th came and went with a sweet little parade in Redville, and went on a hike that commemorated fourteen firefighters who lost their lives in the Storm King Fire near Glenwood Springs, Colorado in 1994.
However, books leave me pensive. I’ve been reading “Eternal on the Water,” and it’s one of the finest pieces of fiction I’ve ever encountered. The novel begins as the body of the heroine is found after her kayak spills in class three rapids. It’s beautiful, haunting, and sad. Get thee to a library and find out the rest.
I feel grateful and happy for this “adventure.”

No apologies needed for your first free spirit summer adventure and especially if there is a good drink in hand!
I will add the book to my list for sure. Carry on with your magical adventure and I say magical as that is the anti spam word for my reply. and yes, I’m sure there is even magic in doing laundry on a Saturday night-better than doing laundry at home on a Saturday eve.
Hi you! Your adventure sounds lovely, and so does the book. Thank you for the recommendation!
