July 4th – Redstone, Colorado
In the peace of a beautiful dispersed camping site just outside of Leadville, Colorado I’m “finally” attempting to “catch” up on my photos and blog. I’ve decided to use this handy/dandy slide show viewer – tell me how you like it, OK?
July 4th was a quiet hometown day with a small fun parade that included candy throwing from the floats. I gathered up the sugary sweets for the youngsters in the crowd, but did save the chocolate (two pieces) for moi!
I had a beer which a couple I was walking with had lunch, snagged a summer dress and hat for $5.00 total at a yard sale, and had a free ten minute massage (I tipped $5.00.) All in all a fine day, and I didn’t even miss the fireworks due to a statewide ban…
