A Life Well-Lived…
Last Sunday, I “high-tailed” it from Kanab, UT to Show Low, AZ to celebrate the 85th birthday of fellow WIN member John Clairmont. Although I don’t know John as well as some of the other WIN members, he’s the perfect gentleman, and an all-around nice guy with a penchant for ice cream. 
John is the consummate practical joker and I’ve been privy to observing the female mannikin that he has “dressed” to sit in the driver’s seat of his rig when parked, and the faux RV “hook-ups” that he has placed out when boondocking.
John’s daughter apparently “gifted” her father with a life-sized cardboard figure of John in all of his glory. And yes, John DOES look good for his 85 years on this planet.
*Note the big “smooch” on his cheek and the dangling earring. The Bud shorts are difficult to miss.
There was beer, food, and cake aplenty with live music to boot. Toward the end of the afternoon John gave a speech and told about the items he has realized on his “bucket list,” and how he feels he has done the things in his life that he has dreamed about and more.
John’s “little piece of heaven” on his property in Show Low, AZ includes a shelter where friends gather every day for happy hour from 3:00-4:00 p.m. It’s named after Judy Hesse, a WIN who shared the property and passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack.
So, Happy Birthday John. May you continue to live a happy life and realize all of your dreams!

What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday. If I am as fortunate to be Rv’n at 85 I will count myself blessed! Happy Birthday to John. Thanks for sharing!!
