Argentine Tango or The “Q”?

The Tango

I’m in that “slump” part of the year.  The weather is still sunny here, but as all over the rest of the nation – COLD!  For the last two days, I’ve glued myself in front of my little TV watching old VCR movies.  My precious Cali is out of dog food, so I guess I’ll have to venture outside today.

I need a push – (or a kick in the pants to be more specific)…

I was going to go to Quartzsite for the RV show, but the idea of spending a cold night doesn’t appeal to me.  However, the weather “is” going to clear up later this week with high’s around 70 degrees and lows in the mid-40′s.  The outside fresh water spigot broke completely off when I drained the tank.  It’s an easy fix (or at least looks like one), but I’m not keen on working outside to fix it.  Although, I’m sure someone at the “Q” would either help me, or I could fix someone to pay and fix it.

On the other hand, if I stayed home I could go to to this intensive Tango workshop.  I don’t know why learning the tango is so high on my list of priorities.  However, the dance is beautiful (or can be) and the music sometimes drives me to tears.  The money I would save in gas by driving back and forth to Quartzsite would more than pay for the workshop.  Besides, I’m wondering why I would want to go to the RV show since I don’t need to buy anything at all.

I guess I’m not much of a “winter traveler” unless it mean going to a warmer climate.  Basically, going to the RV show would mean camping out with a gazillion other RV’ers and I don’t think that is my “cup of tea” anymore.

OK, in the shower then out to get dog food…

I see your dilemma. Tango dancing could be fun. I used to do salsa and Loved it . Great social outing. Q could be fun too. Being around likeminded people and all. Toss a coin! Ha Ha …

I vote Tango!! Q will be the same as it was last time and the same as it will be next time. We did some ballroom and tango was high on the list but hip problems and surgery soon changed that in my life, sadly.

Are you living in your home or in the RV right now?

So cold everywhere, even here in Mazatlan. The winds are like ice and the poor are suffering.UNIVERSE

This cold keeps me in all but about once a week. Had to get propane today. I think the Tango sounds like fun. Isn’t it summer in Argentina? ;)

Maybe your last trip to the Q will turn out to be your ‘Last Tango In Quartzsite. We’ve been to the Q 4 times & that was 3 times too many. Know what you mean by camping out with a gazillion other RV’ers. Not our cup of tea either. Never was, but we went for a coffee anyway, bought a few necessary things, some junk, tangoed with the crowds, grumbled a lot, vowed never to go back & then returned again the next year. Crazy huh……………..

If the tango is something that you’ve always wanted to do then you should try it. Live life without regret. What a great fun thing to do for the New Year.

Do both! Purchase Gotta Tango (Book & DVD) by Alberto Paz and Valorie Hart and drive to the “Q” and hold your own workshop(maybe charge minimal fee)! Have fun. (And then when you can book your flight to Buenos Aires- Delta does it with one stop PHX-ATL-EZE) Cheers, Maureen
