In Good Faith…

:present: Shop Amazon – Father’s Day Shop :present:

I read “The Daily Prompt from WordPress.com on Feedly every day…

Most of the time, the prompt doesn’t “speak to me,” but today’s challenge about “Faith” struck a cord.

Daily Prompt: In Good Faith

“Describe a memory or encounter in which you considered your faith, religion, spirituality — or lack of — for the first time.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us FAITH.”

Yeah, I’ve got something to show and say about that topic…

Lost Faith

Lost Faith

Who knows where faith comes from?  – I certainly don’t have any answers.  There are all kinds of “faith” – faith in God, faith in a higher power/universe, and faith in oneself are three that immediately come to mind.  There are times of doubt in our lives where we struggle and lose our faith and experience what Christian mystics describe as “The Dark Night of the Soul.”  We flail and struggle with no visible light at the end of the tunnel…

Light of Faith

Light of Faith

After a time of darkness, something “extraordinary” appears in our seemingly “ordinary” lives.  We become refreshed and renewed and our lives again have meaning.  The “trigger” may be an experience, a person, or an event in the natural world.  Regardless, we find our “faith” again and have the courage to move on.  In retrospect, we wonder what actually “happened.”

Faith isn’t always a spiritual experience, but it is for me…

Faith, Hope, and Love...

Faith, Hope, and Love

“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13 (English Standard Version)  Faith is hard to describe and sometimes elusive, but it’s something our hearts are always searching to find…

No matter how you interpret faith, I wish you joy and peace on your personal journey…

Sweet post! After John’s being on life support, my faith in Christ Jesus is firm. Upon the Rock I stand…not on sand that washes away under my feet.

  2. I’m just getting started in reading your blog. I came here at the suggestion of a commenter on my blog. I’m a single woman, have owned a Toyota Dolphin for a couple of years. However, shortly after buying it I flew to Guatemala to study Spanish for three weeks – and stayed for almost a year and a half! Got back to California, Roseville, home in November and decided to try out the RV by driving to Mexico and some of the US for about five months. I thought I’d want a larger RV if I decided I liked the life style. Well, the longer I was in my little Dolphin the more I liked it. I’m looking forward to reading your adventures and experiences.
A word about today’s blog on Faith – I’ve been doing some ‘studying’ on the subject myself in recent months – nothing super profound but my son, Jeff, and I have a dialogue going in person and email about God, higher power, science, faith, etc. so you’re subject matter today struck a cord with me. Love to have you visit my blog too if you’d like….
I call it “Butterflies and Heart Songs” – butterflies are “free” and my heart songs refers to how I feel when I do volunteer work or good deeds – my heart sings!

      Hi Mary-Pat!

So glad you came to visit. I’m curious about your visit to Mexico and your travels in your Toyota Dolphin! My faith is important to me – I couldn’t have gotten to this point in my life without it! I put you on my blogroll and for sure will visit your blog.

Thanks so much for commenting and visiting!

Without faith, there is no hope. With no hope, life is dismal.
