Have you ever returned an item to a store for a refund after having used it?
Only if I was allergic to it or it had a “flaw.” The other day I returned a jar of SPF 30 Elta sunscreen because it was a weird consistency and lumpy. The dermatologist traded it for a new one.
You are going out for the evening. If your partner objects to what you are wearing, would you change your clothing?
Absolutely not - that’s so “high school.”
What item that you don’t currently possess would you most like to have in your home?
I have some older yucky original carpeting in my master bedroom and satillo tile throughout the rest of the house. I’d like to replace the yucky carpet with satillo tile.

It’s “Cyber Monday” today, the ceremonial kick-off of the holiday online shopping season in the United States. Do you do much online shopping, holiday or otherwise?
- I love to shop online - it’s so much easier to price compare and usually the deals are better. I especially like the no sales tax and free shipping sites. Amazon.com and I have a “special relationship!”
Are you a Mac or a PC user? Why?
- I’ve used both - especially when I worked for a time at NMSU. However, I know my way around PC’s much better. My home desktop (which I finally upgraded the RAM) was a Christmas gift from he who shall not be mentioned, and I have a small personal laptop which I love. Although I think that Mac has a better platform, it’s still a PC world.
What website do you spend more time on than you care to admit?
- Flickr - I’m editing and uploading photos on a regular basis and I’ve started to visit my contacts on a daily basis and comment on their photos. It’s a nice “cyber” relationship…

Do you believe people are basically good?
- I want to believe that people are basically good. However, in order to believe in “good” I have to believe that some people and inherently evil. Adolf Hitler and Charles Manson are two that immediately come to mind…
If you could change the custom of shaking hands, what would you replace it with?
- I think the Japanese custom of bowing is rather elegant…
What is something that you enjoy that is a chore for most other people?
- I actually like to drive. Cali in the passenger seat, pop in some road music, and hit the cruise control and I’m good to go…

What was the first thing you thought when you looked at yourself in the mirror today?
- I should have put my hair up before I put the moist heat heating pad around my neck.
Do you have a recurring nightmare? If so, explain.
- No reoccurring nightmares - just new ones from time-to-time…
List three foods you can’t stand:
- Brussels sprouts, Liver, and any ethnic specialty with Tripe (i.e. Chitlins and Menudo).

What is the greatest value that guides your life?
- Faith, Hope, & Love - sometimes they seem non-existent, but they’re always there waiting to be rediscovered.
Fill in the blank: If I could be anybody besides myself, I would be ______.
- Me - only more free and much wiser.
What is one item in your house that you should really throw out but probably never will?
- One item? Gee, I go through “stuff” all of the time and just replace it with more “stuff.”

How long does it take you to get out of bed in the morning?
- Some days I jump right out of bed, other days it takes “a little longer.”
Do you usually sleep on one side of the bed or another?
Something you wish to accomplish before the end of the year:
- Well, it was to end the several month saga of my damaged wrist by having surgery. However, now that’s postponed until the first of the year.

What is one thing you admire about each of your parents?
- My father was always so supportive of me - he made me believe I was beautiful, capable, and intelligent. My mother raised seven children on her own after my father passed away - no small feat to accomplish. We all have our “quirks,” but I think we all turned out OK.
Which parts of your home do you like best?
- I’d have to say the living room. The floors are satillo tile and I have a modified kiva fireplace. It’s especially nice around the holidays.

Which would you prefer and why? To have every stoplight turn green upon your arrival for the rest of your life or to have one week of the best sex any person ever had?
- I believe that our society is in too much of a hurry - what’s wrong with an occasional stoplight!
